October is the busiest month of the year for me, with three birthdays and an anniversary, I'm usually swamped, and this year was no exception.  My wife and I celebrated a couple of milestones on a week long cruise (10 year anniversary and my 40th birthday), which kept me out of the internet loop for a week.  

Meanwhile Peter took some time to go to the New York City Comic Convention, one of the biggest shows for comics which was chock full of cool news.

Of course comics were huge in October as well with this little thing called "The New 52" in its second month (and still racking up record sales, one thing's for sure, people are interested in the new 52).  Meanwhile Marvel finished up Schism and Fear Itself.

Looking ahead to the stuff shipping in January 2011, there's a few things to keep an eye out on.

DC: The Ray, the latest new launch from DC.  Absolute Dark Victory HC, and the DC Universe by Alan Moore Hardcover are sure bets.
